Since it’s around the time of Halloween, I thought it would be fun to have a selection of stories that fit the occasion. As a kid, I loved this time of year and sure, the ability to wander from house to house collecting candy was a huge selling point.

Well, that and getting to dress up as whatever character I was into that year. My costumes started out with Looney Tunes characters like Sylvester the Cat and quickly morphed into Star Wars characters, since the very first Star Wars movie was released the month after I turned 6 years old.

I’ve just always loved the spooky fun of Halloween, but am far too old now to go begging for candy. That said, I’m the perfect age to share some bits of lore, silly moments, and fun memories related to my own Halloween hijinks.

    1. Thanks, Sandra! 😃💕 Glad you enjoyed this one! And my reading of other’s work… not something I normally try… so thrilled you enjoyed it!

  1. This is a fun one. Halloween makes for a lot of great stories. Ah, Edgar Allen Poe. Love his poems. I enjoy my Halloween appetizer plates inspired by his poem etched with Ravens. You did an excellent job of narrating. Happy Hallowen!!

    1. Thanks so much, June! 😃💕Thrilled you liked this one! Figured a little seasonal episode was due… hehe… and Poe was just the best!

    1. Thanks so much, Kathy! 😃💕 I’m so thrilled you enjoyed this one!! Hope you’ll check out the episode 10 that launched today. It’s actually about sketching mostly! hehe… but yeah, still a bunch of positive Charlie stories.

  2. Gosh, Charlie, this was so much fun to listen to. I’d have loved to see you as Dragula, and your thoroughly hilarious account of witch (hazel) and broom prompted a great belly laugh. We don’t “do” Halloween at our house; we’re too rural and remote out here. I do observe Día de los Muertos, to honor our deceased family and friends to keep their spirits alive. Happy Halloween!
