As I’ve spent the last three years sketching and writing each day, my thoughts on life and art have also been captured along the way. For this episode, I’m sharing some of those bits of well… I’m not sure if they qualify as wisdom or just bits of truth. But either way, it’s a mix of simple little discoveries I’ve made along way about making art and making life itself a more joyous thing to live. Ways to transform even a bad day into a good one! So I hope you’ll sit back, relax, and join me as we jump into another round of stories, and enjoy some of life’s simpler moments that always manage to reveal those little life lessons.

  2. Hi Charlie!

Loved this podcast in particular, as my guest coat closet houses nine, yep, nine “jean” jackets. I think they’re sufficiently softened since 11th grade is waaaay back in the distance. Always look forward to your media postings–and frankly don’t know how you find the time to do ALL of the sweet “Little Life Lessons.” You put 100% of yourself into Doodlewash and I’m so grateful for that day’s uplifting message. (and I loved both of our uses of alliteration in this comment!)

Happy day to you, Charlie. 🙂

    1. Thank you so much, Fanna! 😃💕I want to hug you right now! You just made my day! That’s such a lovely comment to receive. I’m so thrilled you enjoy my podcast and yay to jean jackets! Nine, eh? I’m impressed! hehe That’s so awesome and fabulous!

  3. Another great podcast! I’m with you on clothes and comfort. Growing up, girls HAD to wear dresses most places. I don’t mind long dresses but never met a short one that was comfortable. Yay, for a more relaxed dress code for women and thank you for an uplifting 20-some minutes of relaxation!

    1. Aww thanks, Sandra! 😃💕 Thrilled you enjoyed it! Yeah… my mother switched to pants early on in live, so I come by it honestly. hehe

    1. Thank you SO much, Sarah! 😃💕 I’m so happy you’re enjoying these podcast episodes! And glad you enjoy my voice… it always sounds different to me than what I hear in my head. 😉 Glad it’s pleasant! hehe

  4. Loved listening to this Charlie, thank you for pointing me to this in your email. I have always believed that the most important thing is to follow your heart. The other day I was sitting with a group of people 3 twenty somethings and 2 in their late 60s. Two of the young people had their hopes dashed with what they wanted to do in University and didn’t know where to go from there. The ‘old folks’ said “go into Arts and you will figure it out”. I was astonished and horrified that someone who was 69 and 70 something would say that, after all we more or less grew up in the 60s. I said that the most important thing was to follow your heart – “think about what makes you feel happy” I said and then go in that direction. Sigh, I can’t believe how many people try to fit into square holes and don’t give it a second thought but are horribly unhappy. I will tell them in the future to “listen to Charlies Episode #8 podcast” 😉 Lots of hugs and much love my friend.

    1. Aww I’m so happy you enjoyed this episode, Zoie! 😃💕Yeah… it really can’t be said enough. I truly believe that if we follow our hearts and do what actually brings joy then we can build a life worth living. Though, I do know that many younger folk find their options increasingly confusing during in these rapidly changing times. I did actually end up choosing an Art degree because I couldn’t quite figure out what I wanted to do. But I KNEW I loved creating and making things, so it was more of a catch-all for my goals. But… I always knew I’d picked the right option for me! hehe Much love to you! ❤️
