Here, where I live, we’re heading into summer, which, in the middle of the United States, involves occasional thunderstorms and scorching hot sunny weather. At least that’s how I would describe it as an adult. As a kid, it meant a summer break from school and thousands of possibilities for things I could try next!

So, even though I’m not a fan of a day so hot one could fry an egg on the sidewalk, I adore approaching summer like a kid again. The days are also a bit longer, which makes it feel like there’s more time to DO things! And the best part about this time of year, no matter what season it might be where you live, is that next month it’s time once again to celebrate World Watercolor Month in July! I hope you’ll save the date and join me for the official month-long celebration of watercolor, and the 31 watercolors in 31 days challenge supporting arts education and The Dreaming Zebra Foundation. It’s a wonderful time of year that makes me feel endlessly inspired as I enjoy a bit of time each day, painting summer.

  1. A perfect summer day of a podcast! The only thing I didn’t like about it was that I didn’t have a cool glass of lemonade to drink while listening. Ah well! It was refreshing enough as it was!

    1. Thanks, Sandra! 😃💕 hehe… yeah…. I think this this one goes down best with a cool glass of lemonade! Glad you found it refreshing!

  2. Dearest Charlie, your voice is wonderful…..full of joy and energy. I will be joining your challenge for July but since I have yet to figure out how to post images to this site, I will be following along sort of invisible. I am still working on this process of posting. I do not have a smart phone, and have a years old computer ( plus the fact that I am 80 and not very techy techy savvy. But I have so enjoyed this whole process, starting with the Sketchbook Revival, my first. I had a blast. Thank you again for your inspiration and energy. Lee Smith

  3. It’s very hot and humid and a glass of that lemonade sure would hit the spot…well, so would a popsicle or anything cold. A very enjoyable podcast….looking forward to all the joys of summer!!

    1. Thanks, Mary! 😃💕 So appreciate the comment… I keep making these and I’m never sure if people still enjoy them or not as commenting isn’t quite like my daily posts! hehe Yay for summer! And popsicles!

  4. I had to laugh about the lawn darts. My sister had gotten a set and we played them all the time, thankfully no one was impaled by one, at least not to my recollection.

    1. hehe! Yeah, those things were frighteningly fun! 😃💕 hehe… glad you enjoyed the podcast Trin! And super thrilled to hear you and sister survived our childhood! lol
